About the Symposium

The Innovations in Education Symposium is an annual conference meant to bring University of Connecticut Health faculty and students together to share their innovative educational experiences. The conference is meant to focus on successful educational practices and successful uses of multimedia and technology in the classroom. The conference will be held in the UConn Health Center Academic Lobby, Auditoriums and Classrooms for a full day of workshops, presentations, and demonstrations.

The symposium is intended to be a yearly event, planned and hosted by the Faculty Instructional Technology Services (FITS) department on behalf of the University. A committee of medical, dental, and graduate school representatives teamed up with various staff members from the UCHC Library, FITS, Biomedical and Media Communications and Educational Support Services to plan and coordinate the details of the symposium.

Attending the symposium will be various vendors such as Blackboard who will be hosting sessions during the day and will be available to answer student and faculty questions. For a full list of vendors, see the vendors area.
