Virtual Patient

Coming Fall 2007

FITS has been working on the development of the technological platform to develop Virtual Patients (VP). For our group, a VP is a computer based simulation of the clinical information exchange that happens during the course of a disease. Different VPs can represent single clinical encounters or longer period os time. The simulations can be linear, deterministic or more open-probabilistic. Soon we will be ready to share with you the authoring environment to enable you to develop and share these cases (using the Medbiquitous standard).
